TMI series are suitable for electromedical applications where the primary and secondary coils are electronically separated through an electrostatic screen in order to limit any damage due to an accidental simultaneous contact between earth and under tension parts in case of an insulation breakdown. They are made up to a power of 5000VA with mantle type nucleus, for higher powers they are made with a column type nucleus.
